GROW Lot 6 - Ventilation units

Basic information

State of play

The review of GROW Lot 6 is currently ongoing. The review study was concluded in 2019. The European Commission presented the draft revised GROW Lot 6 Regulations for ventilation units at the Ecodesign Consultation Forum in March 2021. The file has not progressed since then.At the Consultation Forum meeting on 10 March 2022, the policy officer informed that the Commission has decided to launch an additional technical study, to further analyse the comments received on the most discussed topics and provide technical support on the preparation of the impact assessment. The additional study was expected to be launched in the summer of 2022 but it has been delayed. It appears still not to have been launched. Once contracted, the study is expected to take 12 months. An online consultation meeting will be held in the first months of the study to present updated proposals from the Commission. These delays mean that the publication of the amended Regulations are postponed to 2024 at the earliest, and application of the new requirements to 2025.
