Overview of the latest developments concerning new standardisation activities of relevance for the HVACR industry. Our Notifications allow members to be prepared for developments that can have an impact on them and their products.

<p>On a monthly basis, the Eurovent Team compiles a global overview of the latest developments concerning new standardisation activities, technical regulations and legislative developments of relevance for the HVACR industry. This information allows members to be prepared for developments that can have an impact on them and their products.</p>

The final study report on the future of UK Energy-related Product Policy was published on 27 July. The aim of the study was to identify potential product groups and product design aspects for future regulation in the UK. The shortlisted product groups include many HVACR products and mostly (still) reflect the parallel priorities of the EU under Ecodesign.

Taking into account the changes introduced by the GAR (EU 2016/426), the Commission considers it necessary to request the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) to review existing harmonised standards and to adopt necessary amendments or revisions to these standards or to elaborate new harmonised standards.

On behalf of the European Commission (DG CLIMA), Öko-Recherche is working on a series of analysis evaluating the implementation of the F-Gas Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 since 2015. This includes, among others, monitoring of the refrigerant prices. The Q1/2021 report has been recently shared with Eurovent.

The EC has shared the working documents for the Revision of Regulations (EU) 811/213, (EU) 813/213, (EU) 812/213, (EU) 814/213 to be addressed at the upcoming Consultation Forum on 27/28 September 2021.
