Renovation Wave Strategy (GEN – 1170.00)

<p>This Communication outlines the European Commission’s aims to at least double renovation rates in the next ten years and make sure renovations lead to higher energy and resource efficiency. Besides improving the quality of life for people, the strategy will reduce Europe's greenhouse gas emissions, foster digitalisation and improve the reuse and recycling of materials.</p>

EU study on the functions and effects of European standards (GEN – 1169.00)

<p>The European Commission (DG GROW) has contracted EY and Menon to conduct a study on the functions and effects of European standards and standardisation in the EU and EFTA Member States. The study aims to support the European Commission in assessing whether, and to which extent, the adoption of European standards has been beneficial for European consumers, firms and for the European economy as a whole.</p>

EU Recovery and Resilience Facility (GEN – 1168.00)

<p>In order to receive support from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, Member States must prepare national recovery and resilience plans setting out their reform and investment agendas until 2026, including targets, milestones and estimated costs. At least 37% of the plan’s allocation should support the green transition and at least 20% digital transformation.</p>

Energy Efficiency: Updated EU rules on Ecodesign and Energy Labelling (GEN – 1166.00)

<p>The European Commission is working on an omnibus amendment to the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulations published in 2019. The Draft Act amending several pieces of legislation in this field (only to correct minor technical issues) is open for feedback for 4 weeks. Feedback can be provided until 03 November 2020.</p>

European Roadmaps and Consultations (GEN – 1164.00)

<p>The European Consultations start with a ‘Roadmap/Inception Impact Assessment’ followed by a ‘Public consultation’. The Roadmap looks for general comments of the interested persons and stakeholders. The Consultation is the second phase and consists of detailed questionnaires. The industry benefits from responding to these Consultations.</p>
