Leaked version of reviewed F-Gas Regulation provides for steeper phase down schedule. Official publication is expected on 5 April 2022.

The European Commission published on 3 March the calls for evidence for impact assessments on the review of the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling regulations for space heaters and water heaters. The feedback periods lasts until 31 March 2022.

On behalf of the European Commission (DG CLIMA), Öko-Recherche is working on a series of analysis evaluating the implementation of the F-Gas Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 since 2015. This includes, among others, monitoring of the refrigerant prices. The Q4/2021 report has been recently shared with Eurovent.

EFCTC started a socioeconomic assessment for the PFAS restriction. It will launch a stakeholder survey to collect more information on the F-Gas industry sector on 4 April. The survey will run for 4 weeks, and trade associations and downstream users are invited to participate.

<p>The Japanese association JRAIA has submitted a discussion paper on the evolving of the GWP values in different IPCC Assessment Reports. At present the values of the 4th IPCC report are used as reference. During the upcoming ICARHMA meeting its members will look at possible impacts. </p>
