On behalf of the European Commission (DG CLIMA), Öko-Recherche is working on a series of analysis evaluating the implementation of the F-Gas Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 since 2015. This includes, among others, monitoring of the refrigerant prices. The Q4/2020 report has been recently shared with Eurovent.

<p>From 29 June to 07 September 2020, the Commission asked for feedback on its inception impact assessment relating to the F-Gas Regulation. This was followed by a public consultation between 15 September and 29 December 2020. Eurovent provided via the Task Force F-Gas its input. On 26 April, EPEE invited associations to a gathering where the Commission and the UK authorities would provide insight into the developments.</p>

New versions of EPREL (software: 1.43.0 and 1.43.0, exchange model: 2.7.9 and 2.7.10) has been released in the ACCEPTANCE environment on Wednesday, 14 April 2021 and Thursday, 22 April 2021, to let organisations perform testing and schedule necessary adaptations. The same version will be made available in the PRODUCTION environment from Friday, 30 April 2021 and Monday, 03 May 2021.

On 25 March 2021, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the implementation of the Ambient Air Quality (AAQ) Directives, in which it calls on the European Commission to regulate Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) as well. The resolution is not binding on the Commission but is nevertheless a significant milestone in the efforts to enshrine IAQ into legislation. It confirms there is growing appreciation among legislators of the importance of clean air indoors, reflecting an ambition which Eurovent has been advocating for consistently.

<p>The European Consultations start with a ‘Roadmap/Inception Impact Assessment’ followed by a ‘Public Consultation’. The Roadmap looks for general comments of the interested persons and stakeholders. The Consultation is the second phase and consists of detailed questionnaires. The industry benefits from responding to these Consultations.</p>

Following the European Green Deal, the European Commission published the Circular Economy Action Plan 2 (CEAP2) which pays more attention to prevention and reuse. In response the standardisation bodies CEN and CENELEC have developed a Position Paper with recommendations on how standards can contribute to reaching the Green Deal objectives. An overview of the overall recommendations and selected sectoral recommendations is provided below.

The Digital Single Market (DSM) strategy announced in 2015 aims to prepare industry for global competitiveness. The National Recovery and Resilience Plans should support 37% of the green transition and 20% of the digital transformation. The DSM is accompanied by a Rolling Plan for ICT standardisation.
