FETA rejoins Eurovent, strengthening UK-EU links
Eurovent is pleased to welcome the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA) back as a Member Association, strengthening the representation of the UK heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry within the Eurovent network.
With FETA’s return to Eurovent after more than 20 years, Eurovent now brings together 18 national Member Associations representing the interests of the HVACR industry across Europe. FETA is the recognised UK trade body representing more than 400 manufacturers, suppliers, installers and contractors across heating, ventilation, building controls, refrigeration and air conditioning.
FETA represents a broad range of sectors and technologies, including air conditioning, air handling, ventilation, refrigeration, heat pumps, building controls, air distribution, air filtration, residential ventilation and smoke control. FETA’s return to Eurovent reinforces the importance of cooperation between national trade associations in addressing the regulatory, technical and market developments affecting the HVACR industry.
Upon rejoining Eurovent, the FETA Chief Executive, Chris Yates, mentioned that: “FETA is pleased to be returning to Eurovent at an important time for the HVACR industry. Strong cooperation between the UK and European associations is essential as our sector responds to changing regulation, new technologies and the transition towards a more sustainable built environment. Rejoining Eurovent will allow FETA to share the knowledge and experience of our members, learn from industry partners across Europe and contribute constructively to discussions that shape our sector. We look forward to playing an active role within the Eurovent network and strengthening connections across the European HVACR community.”
The renewed cooperation also creates opportunities to strengthen dialogue between the UK HVACR industry and its counterparts across Europe at a time when issues such as decarbonisation, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and product sustainability continue to shape the sector.
As a Eurovent Member Association, FETA will be able to contribute to the association’s activities and discussions across its Product Groups and other working structures.
