Participants of the newly established Eurovent Working Group ‘Digital HVACR’ (WG-DIGI) elected Tianyun Gao, Global Product Manager at Siemens, as the group’s Chairperson. The election took place following the official launch of the Working Group.

The Working Group WG-DIGI is a platform which was created to address the growing importance of digitalisation, cybersecurity, and smart control systems within the HVACR sector. The group brings together leading manufacturers, technology providers, and industry experts to collaborate on key challenges related to Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS) and connected building technologies.

WG-DIGI was formally introduced during its kick-off meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, 03 March 2026, where participants discussed regulatory developments, emerging digital trends, and the future of smart HVACR solutions. The initiative reflects the industry’s increasing focus on interoperability, data-driven performance, and secure system integration as digital transformation accelerates.

As Chairperson, Gao will lead the working group’s strategic direction, facilitating collaboration among stakeholders and guiding discussions on technical, regulatory, and innovation-related topics. With a background in building automation, energy efficiency, and HVACR systems, Gao brings extensive expertise to the role, alongside her involvement in multiple Eurovent activities and industry initiatives.
