Brussels, Warsaw, 14 May 2026. Eurovent, in collaboration with AMCA Europe and EVIA, has published the second edition of a joint Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) guide on Regulation (EU) 2024/1834, as amended, laying down Ecodesign requirements for fans.
Following the publication of the first edition in September 2025, experts from the three associations continued their cooperation to develop a common industry interpretation of further provisions of Regulation (EU) 2024/1834 on Ecodesign requirements for fans, which was amended in the meantime by Regulation (EU) 2025/2481.
In addition to addressing several general issues, the new FAQs included in the second edition cover aspects related to product information requirements, information requirements at partial load, resource efficiency requirements concerning spare parts, and product information requirements for spare part fans.
This guide was prepared in a joint effort by participants of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Fan Technology (PG-FANS), members of AMCA Europe and members of the EVIA Fans Working Group, which represents a vast majority of all manufacturers of these products active on the EMEA market.
