Dear members, partners and friends of the Eurovent family,
Yet another year is coming to its end, and we at Eurovent, together with our subunits and chapters, would like to wish you all a joyful and peaceful holiday season. May the New Year bring happiness, health and success.
We express our gratitude for another year’s worth of hard work and collaboration together with you, our members. Special thanks goes to the Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons, as well as the other active participants of our Working Groups and Leadership Groups, who go the extra mile to make sure that Eurovent and the industry it represents are in a position to thrive and prosper.
2023 has brought our entire sector many interesting and important developments. We would like to share a few of those that have influenced Eurovent and its different bodies.
According to Eurovent Market Intelligence data, the components shortage problem in 2023 has improved somewhat compared to last year, and there have been fewer restraints in catching up with postponed demand. This has contributed to steady market growth.
2023 has been an important year also on the EU regulatory front, with the revisions of – among others – the Ecodesign framework, the F-Gas Regulation, and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive all crossing or approaching the finish line. Manufacturers have also had to navigate an increasingly complex landscape of requirements in the fields of sustainability, circularity, non-financial reporting, data management and cybersecurity. All these policies set important framing conditions for the HVACR market in Europe in the years to come.
At Eurovent, we have laboured to share our industry’s perspectives and concerns with the policymakers, to make sure the green and digital twin transitions work for our industry, and our industry can work for the twin transition. We stay near to our growing membership base, which has recently exceeded 100 manufacturers, and we work closely together with our partners.
In this vein, in 2023, we organised more than 75 working group meetings, attended over a dozen international events and exhibitions, and signed a memorandum of understanding with AMCA to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships in support of the fan industry. Furthermore, our chapter Eurovent Middle East and Working Group Eurovent India have been contributing to the development of our international engagements, which has helped in strengthening discussions with the most important HVAC industry stakeholders globally.
We are confident that the following year will bring forth more great results, that we already look forward to. In that spirit, we would once again like to thank you, our members, partners and friends, for your long-term dedication. We wish you all a happy and successful New Year.
