<p>During its recent online meeting, the Eurovent Product Group ‘Evaporative Cooling Equipment’ (PG-CT) elected Mr Frank Stocker (Managing Director, Gohl-KTK) as the successor of Mr Doic Hordern (CEO, JACIR) in the role of Vice-Chairman of the group. Mr Laurent Petiot (General Manager France Benelux Maghreb, BAC) continues as Chairman of PG-CT.</p>

<p>The review of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) has started. In its submission to the roadmap, Eurovent calls on the European Commission to mainstream indoor environmental quality (IEQ) considerations into the Directive. If this is done well, the EPBD could serve to achieve both healthier and more energy efficient buildings, leveraging the synergies between the two. <p>Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI) has announced the publication of its 2021 annual collection results. The 2020 sales numbers have become available in the EMI online database on their website. On 30 March 2021, EMI will hold an online training session on how to use its online database. Participation is open to all EMI collection participants.</p>

<p>Eurovent has partnered up with shecco and became an official partner of the upcoming second edition of the ATMO Virtual Trade Show. The event will launch on 30 March 2021 and focuses on sustainable cooling technologies. Eurovent will be present with its own virtual booth. Attendance is free of charge.</p>

<p>Following the success of the updated Eurovent Recommendation 4/23 – ‘Selection of EN ISO 16890 rated air filter classes for general ventilation applications’, Eurovent has teamed up with ABRAVA (Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Ventilation) to publish the Brazilian version of the industry recommendation in the Portuguese language. <p>Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Handling Units’ (PG-AHU) has published the first edition of Eurovent Recommendation 6/15 – Air Leakages in Air Handling Units. The Recommendation presents guidelines for improving Indoor Air Quality and correcting the performance of Air Handling Units due to internal leakages.</p>

On Tuesday, 26 January 2021, Eurovent will host an expert webinar on Industry Recommendation covering Ecodesign and Energy Labelling requirements for refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function. The webinar will take place from 14:30-16:00h and the speakers include members of the Eurovent Product Group ‘Commercial Refrigeration Equipment’.

<p>Eurovent has released the first edition of the Eurovent Recommendation 14/6 – Interpretation of Regulation (EU) 2019/2018 and of Regulation (EU) 2019/2024. The Recommendation provides the European Commission with industry input for the future guidelines accompanying Regulations (EU) 2019/2018 and (EU) 2024/2019.</p>

<p>Eurovent’s recently launched Product Group ‘Rooftop Units’ (PG-RT) has elected its first Chairman and Vice-Chairman during its second meeting on 16 November 2020. The Group’s Chairman is Mr Filip Konieczny (Ventilation and Air Conditioning Manager / Export Technical Specialist at FLOWAIR). He will be supported by the PG-RT Vice-Chairman Mr Alberto Bellù (Product Manager Rooftop & Air Handling Units at Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A.).</p>
