<p>Eurovent Certita Certification (ECC) has released an updated website available at <a href="http://www.eurovent-certification.com">www.eurovent-certification.com</a>. The new website was designed to provide a better user experience to a wider audience (consultants, technical design offices, architects, and end-users) with a quick and easy access to certified data.</p>

<p>Congratulations to Alex Rasmussen, former Eurovent President and long-term member of the Eurovent family on his recent retirement. In the lines below, the Eurovent Team looks back at his time in the industry and sends him best wishes.</p>

<p>In the spirit of the 2021 World Refrigeration Day, Eurovent introduces its Cooling Champions. Meet some of the faces from the Eurovent family in a short video that explains why the HVACR industry is cool and why it matters in everyone’s daily life. Follow the Eurovent Cooling Champion video series throughout the summer and join us in celebrating the coolest day of the year.</p>

<p>Eurovent and the Federation of Ibero-American Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Associations (FAIAR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, underlining their commitment to greater harmonisation and stronger ties between Europe and Latin America.</p>

<p>The European Commission and Öko-Recherche recently presented the preliminary findings of the F-Gas review study. The study notably models the degree to which F-Gases could be substituted in RACHP equipment until 2050. Eurovent considers the substitution scenarios unrealistic and has expressed scepticism about the modelling assumptions used by the study consultant.</p>

<p>The ongoing COVID-19 outbreak already forced the postponement of the upcoming <strong>EUROVENT</strong>SUMMIT from September 2020 to October 2021. After carefully evaluating the situation, the organisers have decided that the Summit will be further postponed to 2022.</p>

Eurovent, in cooperation with Eurovent Middle East and Eurovent Certita Certification, will host a dedicated webinar tailor-made for Africa, Middle East, India and Southeast Asia. The webinar will outline the importance of adherence to latest standards in air conditioning and ventilation. Special focus will be placed on the application of the newest air filtration standard ISO 16890, which has replaced EN 779 and other international standards in recent years.

<p>During the 65th General Assembly, which was held online, the Eurovent members have elected Raul Corredera Haener (Systemair, Spain) as President of the Association. He succeeds Naci Sahin (FRITERM, Turkey), who was Eurovent President since 2018.</p>

<p>Eurovent Certita Certification (ECC) has developed a new certification programme for Indoor Air Quality and Energy Efficiency of Ventilation Systems (IAQVS) for residential applications. The programme covers mechanical ventilation systems for single dwellings (single family homes and apartments). Kick off online meetings are planned for 04, 12 and 20 May 2021.</p>

<p>The Eurovent Regional Office Prague has moved to a new location. The new premises are located in a shared office community called HubHub (building ‘Na Příkopě 14’) in the city centre of Prague. Once circumstances in the Czech Republic allow so, interested members are welcome to schedule meetings with the Eurovent Prague Team.</p>

Eurovent has become a member of the Cool Coalition, a global initiative led by the UN Environment Programme. The initiative aims to promote access to efficient, climate-friendly cooling for both industrialised and developing countries. Eurovent joins the network of more than 100 partners to help achieve better standards and regulations across the globe in support of the Coalition’s objectives.
