On 28 September the third and final stakeholder meeting of EEPLIANT3 Work Package 7 - air conditioners and comfort fans took place. EEPLIANT3 is the largest pan-EU Concerted Action on market surveillance for Ecodesign and Energy Labelling.

The European Commission recently shared the draft minutes of the Consultation Forum on the revision of the Ecodesign Regulation (EU) 2016/2281 on air heating and cooling products.
The Commission welcomes the provisional agreement reached between the European Parliament and the Council on the so-called ‘one substance, one assessment’ (OSOA) package.
The Omnibus IV aims to simplify the single market and reduce bureaucracy. The Commission aims to achieve this by reducing compliance costs for businesses and improving the clarity and coherence of EU rules and regulations.
Recently, the Commission started the Call for evidence on the revision of the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulations for refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function, Regulations (EU) 2019/2024 and (EU) 2019/2018.
The Commission has published a call for evidence and launched a public consultation on the evaluation of the EU Emissions Trading System and the Market Stability Reserve. This is earlier than the future review planned in 2026.
