Two recent European Commission publications (GEN – 766.00)

<p>The brochure of “Good Practices in Energy Efficiency”, which presents examples of good practice from policy implementation, technology development and investment in energy efficiency across different sectors and throughout all 28 Member States. The updated report on the EU's Ecodesign and Energy Labelling requirements provides for an evaluation and energy saving estimates realised by the implementing regulations.</p>

Update Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) (GEN – 767.00)

<p>The Commission implementing Regulation 2017/699 establishing a common methodology for the calculation of the weight of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) placed on the national market in each Member State and a common methodology for the calculation of the quantity of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) generated by weight in each Member State has been published in the Official Journal on 19 April 2017.</p>

Notifications – Standardisation – March 2017 (GEN – 764.00)

<p>The application of the 2015/1535/EU (previously Directive 98/34/EC Directive) has also been extended to new standardisation work undertaken by National Standard Bodies (AENOR, AFNOR, DIN, UNI…) at national level. These notifications are registered centrally by the CEN Management Centre and a "Monthly Notifications Register" is circulated in English to the CEN Members and the European Commission. The National Standard Body generally provides the relevant associations with a copy of these updates.</p>

Review study of the regulation on Ecodesign and labelling requirements for air conditioners and comfort fans (GEN – 760.00)

<p>The study is carried out by Viegand Maagøe A/S and ARMINES for the European Commission, DG Energy and started in February 2017 and is expected to be finished in medio 2018. It can be expected tha the revision of the Energy Labelling directive will be accounted for too.</p>
