GEN – 1496.00. The European Commission has launched the public consultation on the evaluation of the Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. The feedback window is open until 22 September 2023.
WEEE Directive evaluation
The WEEE Directive sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for all types of electrical goods.
The Commission evaluation will assess the progress made under the Directive, whether its objectives have been met, and to what extent the Directive supports a circular economy and environmentally sound management of waste for electrical electronic equipment.
The public consultation is open until 22 September 2023 and can be accessed here.
