Digitalisation continues to reshape the HVACR and construction sectors, creating new expectations for the way product information is structured, shared, and maintained.
ProdBIM, the department and software solution of Eurovent Certification dedicated to product data management, aims to provide practical support to organisations navigating these changes. Today, many manufacturers are required to manage increasing volumes of technical data, documentation, certifications, and regulatory submissions. ProdBIM’s work focuses on helping companies organise this information more efficiently and ensure consistency across different markets and digital environments. This includes support with data structuring, harmonisation, and processes linked to regulatory obligations such as EPREL energy labelling.
The transition toward more digital workflows affects each manufacturer differently. While some are already equipped with internal systems, others face challenges related to data formats, interoperability, or the administrative effort required to keep information up to date. ProdBIM’s goal is to understand these diverse situations and offer guidance that reflects the realities experienced across the industry.
To further align its activities with manufacturers’ needs, ProdBIM is collecting feedback through a short survey. The intention is not to promote any service but to listen to manufacturers’ perspectives and ensure that future initiatives are relevant and supportive.
