Brussels, 11 September 2025. Eurovent is pleased to announce that the International Copper Association Europe will join the 2025 EUROVENTSUMMIT as the official Copper Sponsor. The Summit starts on 24 September at the Vienna House by Wyndham Diplomat in Prague.
The International Copper Association (ICA) Europe is the leading advocate for the copper industry in Europe which represents companies that mine, smelt, and recycle copper for use across the economy, in the electricity system, buildings and transport industry. As a strategic raw material, copper plays a vital role in enabling the EU’s transition to a climate-neutral and resilient economy. Thanks to its exceptional thermal and electrical conductivity, copper is at the heart of electrification, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies across key sectors, including HVACR. As the ‘Copper Sponsor’ of the 2025 EUROVENTSUMMIT in Prague, the International Copper Association (ICA) Europe looks forward to engaging with the full HVACR value chain to explore the future of sustainable manufacturing.
Robert Pinter, Manager of Market Development at the International Copper Association (ICA) Europe, added that: “We are proud to contribute to the seminar ‘Closing the Loop: Innovations in Materials and Circularity for HVACR Systems’ during the Eurovent Summit. This is a timely dialogue on how advanced materials and circular practices can drive decarbonisation in the sector. Transforming Europe’s HVACR sector starts with integrating the entire copper value chain, where copper is not just indispensable, but strategic.â€
As demand grows, the European copper industry is committed to enabling this transition by decarbonising its primary production, increasing recycling, and maintaining high environmental and social standards. With a clear goal of achieving net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions, the industry is actively investing in sustainable practices. This ensures a stable supply of high-quality copper to all sectors, supporting their climate, circularity, and electrification objectives.
Through a team of policy, industry, and scientific experts, ICA Europe promotes copper as an essential material for achieving the EU’s ambition of a resilient, climate-neutral Europe. It seeks to ensure that EU policies enable the sustainable production of copper to serve Europe’s future needs.
