Eurovent successfully concluded its 69th Annual Meeting, marking strategic developments and leadership continuity. Members discussed regulatory developments, innovation, and priorities for the HVACR industry’s future.

Bringing together senior representatives from Eurovent’s wide membership base across more than 25 countries, the Annual Meeting served as a platform for reflecting on recent policy developments, technological innovation, and key strategic priorities for the HVACR industry. During the meeting, members reviewed the association’s ongoing advocacy efforts in Brussels, including engagement with the EU’s Green Deal, F-Gas Regulation updates, and initiatives related to energy efficiency and digitalisation in building systems. Eurovent reaffirmed its role as the voice of the HVACR industry in Brussels, advocating for technically sound, market-relevant, and sustainable policy outcomes.

Highlights of the Annual Meeting included a presentation of the Eurovent 2024-2025 Annual Report and a Policy Hour with expert presentations on lifecycle GWP in buildings and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and the future of refrigerants. There were furthermore discussions on Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) guidance on Indoor Environmental Quality, market surveillance and the Single Market strategy, by representatives from the European Commission, European Environment Agency, Eurovent Market Intelligence and the European Chemical Industry Council.

The Eurovent President, Raul Corredera Haener, stated that: “While we have made meaningful progress in recent years, we must continue to further improve and develop our association. My goal is clear: to position Eurovent as the leading European HVACR association with global recognition. Achieving this requires continued commitment and collaboration from our entire community, thinking beyond national borders as a truly international family driven by European values.”

Francesco Scuderi, the Eurovent Secretary General, added: “My deepest appreciation goes to all our members and partners, the association leadership, Chairpersons of its various working groups, and to the Eurovent Secretariat for their unwavering dedication and exceptional work, whose steadfast commitment has been instrumental in steering our association with clarity and purpose. At Eurovent, we remain firmly rooted in the values of collaboration and responsiveness. The road ahead presents real challenges, but with unity, innovation, and shared determination, I am confident that we are ready to turn those challenges into opportunities for growth and progress.”
