The Eurovent Product Group ‘Residential Ventilation Systems’ (PG-RVS) has reaffirmed its leadership with the re-election of Xavier Boulanger as Chairperson. The group welcomed Arie Veldhuijzen as the newly elected Vice-Chairperson.
Xavier Boulanger, Training and Application Manager at ALDES, has been instrumental in guiding the group through key initiatives related to indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and regulatory affairs in the residential ventilation sector. His re-election shows continued confidence in his strategic leadership and commitment to advancing industry standards across Europe.
Joining him in leadership, Arie Veldhuijzen, Director of Innovation – IP – EU Policies at Zehnder Group International AG, was elected as Vice-Chairperson. Veldhuijzen brings a wealth of experience in product innovation and market development. His appointment marks a new chapter for the group, adding fresh perspectives to ongoing and future initiatives.
Upon his re-election, Xavier Boulanger stated: “It is an honour to be able to lead our working group towards the near future improvement of the Eco Design Regulation and the associated product label for our residential ventilation products. It is important for our residential ventilation system product group to push for a higher penetration rate of ventilation by acting on the European EPBD directives to ensure that appropriate ventilation systems are used in buildings, that their correct operation is checked during the commissioning phase, so that air quality and thermal performance are guaranteed. I hope that we can continue to exert our influence in this area and help to ensure that ventilation products are used correctly by providing valuable advice and relevant publications.”
The new Vice-Chairperson, Arie Veldhuijzen, added: “I am honoured to be elected as Vice-Chairperson of the Eurovent PG-RVS at this time when EU regulation is so much in flux. It is clear that working on joint positions and joint documents in our group contributes concretely to improving future EU regulations. It remains hugely important to work together to clarify the importance of ventilation and good air quality towards the EU and other stakeholders, there is still great potential here. I’m eager to contribute here and to support our group and Chairperson Xavier.” The Eurovent Product Group ‘Residential Ventilation Systems’ (PG-RVS) covers residential ventilation units (bidirectional and unidirectional) and other elements of residential ventilation systems (ductwork, IAQ sensors, VAV valves). It deals with the ventilation units themselves and their components (e.g. air filters, energy recovery components, fans), often in cooperation with the specialist Eurovent Product Groups that cover specific components.
